My wife and I when driving through France always find it funny how many Chemist's there are, every village seems to have one even if there are no other shops.

It is odd how different countries deal with medication.
I was in Switzerland a few years ago with my wife and she came out in a bad rash on her face and arms, not knowing what to do we popped into a chemist and she was sold some cream that apparently is only available here with a prescription. A friend who usually visits Cyprus at least once a year usually picks up a handful of Asthma inhalers, no prescription needed and they are 2/3 the price of the ones here. |

We should not be giving freebies to the EU. More so given its disrespect for the UK and its disregard for contract law. If in time when we have looked after our own then if we are in a position to help anyone then our real friends without the EU should be first inline and at cost price where appropriate.

If ever it was needed, this whole episode over vaccines goes to show the decision to leave was the correct one. Brussel's officialdom gone mad. Ignorance of the real world and law.

A German friend was telling me at the weekend he has no chance of getting a vaccine for at least a couple more months and he is 60 in a couple of weeks.
His parents who are in there late 80's have only just had there jab. He has always been very pro European Union but is now saying he wishes they were out like us. There restrictions are a lot tighter controlled than ours are by what he was saying, he travels for work and gets pulled over by the police almost every day. |

Northern Ireland is within the UK so I would agree with respect to any help for it - as per any other part of the UK which is so entitled. However I would draw a line at EU members, particularly one which has tilted its sails against the UK historically. The one whose banks were bailed out by UK taxpayers, by definition inclusive of taxpayers in Norther Ireland, to the reported tune of £6 billion after the fiasco of 2008 - where was Southern Ireland's beloved EU then?
Southern Ireland has done very well, so far, out of money that has been channeled via its EU sweet heart. Bearing in mind that the UK is/was a net contributor to EU funding where does anyone in the UK or SI think that any so-called EU funding originated from? - the EU has no money of its own. In the absence of indefinite funding from UK taxpayers I doubt very much if SI will continue to benefit anywhere near so much, if at all, from so-called EU funding. |

Had my second Pfizer jab yesterday afternoon. Got to the centre early and why I waited my turn I was asked more questions, some I’ve never been asked before.
I never had any side effects with the first Pfizer jab, but now I was being told that it was possible that with the second Pfizer jab I would get side effects. So far no side effects, not even a sore arm. Cannot even see where the needle went in, felt it though this time.
