For the last 10 years or so of my working life I was a fork lift driver, first as a tele-handler on building sites then the last six on a vertical rise working at minus 40degrees loading sausages onto a loading belt.
It was very demanding work on both types of machines and with the latter Health & Safety didn’t seem to be considered by my “employer” as during that time despite repeated requests I didn’t have proper certification for the machine I was operating.
I left the company suffering from stress but relieved my employer of some cash.
