I have ordered this ... states suitable for automotive or marine use across a variety of fluids...

Thanks to Trikey/Andy and SD1too/Simon for your explanations - yes I get it, if hot water is going in and then straight out of the matrix whilst not passing through much of it, it won't transfer much heat into the car.

Well, I was going to apply the EASIFLUSH fix today, it's not raining here, but very, very windy and I don't want the bonnet blowing over the windscreen and roof, so I'll leave it until calmer weather prevails.

Did the job today, 16/11. Toasty on both sides of the car now, and subsequent flushes will be easier.

Hi Stewart. I have bought two from autopower on line. They seem a good well made item. Only got them for spares as my car is 21 years old so may need to do mine soon, although my heater seems ok at the moment.

Thanks for that, I've got a couple now. Just waiting for a break in the weather, I have a thermostat leak and all the spares ready, so when I do that I'll modify the heater hoses as well. As I've got a modified system to re-route via the lpg vapouriser, bleeding the system is even worse than normal (though I can use a vacuum pump), so I'm thinking of another mod to make that a bit easier too, we shall see.
