Over revving
Hi all
Anyone come across this before and if you have what's the solution When I'm either changing up usually from 3rd or 4th and the revs are already high enough for the turbo to be in, as I come off the clutch and push the throttle right down, the revs shoot up and then drop back I've done all the checks on the clutch and that's OK ( it should be it was only changed 10k ago) The car runs brilliantly other than this little niggle. Any thoughts anyone.? Des 🤔🙁

I'd say it's a clutch issue. Has it started doing this recently or ever since the clutch was replaced? Your description suggests the clutch is slipping as it initially takes up the drive. In effect, the engine is free revving until full clutch engagement occurs. Maybe worth bleeding it or refreshing the hydraulic fluid to see if that helps.

Yes, a shoofty at the bell housing drain would be wise. Drips there and if the clutch fluid is low, you have the answer.
