Default PCV Filter

Got me another Tourer and have a dilemma.
On me old car I changed the PCV filter for the BMW filterless upgrade.
On me new car I'm torn between pinching the BMW upgrade from the old car or just changing the original PCV filter when I service the car.
What do members think?

Well I fitted the filter less upgrade so I can forget about it now. Just check in a few years maybe. That's a winner as far as I'm concerned.

I'm thinking about the "fit and forget" theory.
When I think about it I'll be saving me the price of a filter every year.
Like they say " every little helps".

Same goes with the thought of getting a ERG bypass.
If I clean the ERG with every service that'll save me the price of getting one in the first place.

I've heard about the filter-less upgrade, and I'm very interested in giving it a go myself.
I've got a fairly good service history with my ZT , but nowhere is mentioned ever that the PCV filter has been changed, so I intend to have a look when I can.

What do I need to upgrade to the vortex type filter?

Many thanks in advance.

You get yourself a vortex type filter kit and do a straight swap.
I did mine about 8 years ago and not had a problem or touched it since.

When I bought my BMW 'for life' PCV filter from a BMW main dealer I asked for an owners' club discount, and got 10%. Fortunately he didn’t ask which owner’s club until after the transaction was complete. He looked a tad hacked off when I told him it was the 75/ZT club........
