I wonder

In the second picture there is a trial fit of a new rose joint bush, and despite applying a ridiculous amount of torque to the bolt, it simply is not possible to satisfactorily clamp the rose joint.

The next job is to cut off the welds from the gusset pieces either side, pull it into the correct shape, and reweld them.

Who said fitting new arms would be simple, I'm going to source a pair of Chinese ones next to compare the build quality to that of the Indian ones.

I'm waiting for a reply from FIACOM for a price for a pair of Rowei 750 upper arms.

In the meantime, I'm going to remove all of the serviceable arms from my other 75's, and have them shot blasted, the industrial nature of that process rather than sandblasting will show up any deficiencies in the arms, and the resultant prepared surface takes the zinc Bonda primer very well, as the overhauled subframe shows

There is also something rather cathartic about turning a rather grim looking underbody component into a better protected than new version, especially after painting when the arm is liberally coated internally with cavity wax.

Bought a set of roof bars for the tourer at LIDL.

"Ne'er cast a clout till May be out" my granny used to say, but I've taken the winter tyres off and have summers back on.
