DHL Scam
Another attempt at scamming? I ordered two rear hub kits last week from Europarts. Received an email from DHL on Monday to say parts would be delivered by them on Tuesday, the email included tracking info. Parts delivered on Tuesday morning as promised. So Far so good. Received an authentic looking email (supposedly) from DHL yesterday (Wednesday) stating my delivery would be Thursday and I had to confirm my postal address and my PayPal account details!
DHL would never need any details from me as Europarts would provide all the details they needed to deliver. Do people fall for such an obvious scam when checking with (in this case) DHL can be done online or phone? DHL knew nothing about the email, but have all the details and will investigate. Also, well done Europarts for sorting a (minor) problem with the order within 24 hours.

"The apple id for this number is about to expire, please update with your details by clicking the link below". I smelt rodent instantly as I dont have an apple phone or account.

I've had a few recently "thank you for your order. Click here to view invoice". Binned immediately!

These scammers send out 'phishing' mails to millions of people every day and because DHL deliver tens of thousands of parcels every day it's statistically inevitable that some people will receive one at or about the time they're actually expecting a parcel - thereby creating the impression that it might be genuine to those it happens to. That's how these bar stewards work.
The same principle is used whoever any scam email purports to come from and the chances of actually getting one purely because of a hacked email address are minuscule.

Could be someone working on the inside giving out info to scammers.
My son in law had some problems with internet reception, had a phone call, " I hear you have problem with internet, let me into your computer and i will sort it" He fell for it,but realised it was a scam so told caller where to go. They filled his lap top with Porn, had to take it to shop to reset.
