Default P Numbers.

First off, thanks for letting me join this group. I have just bought a 75 Club SE with a few options. Having been brought up loving Rovers and also presently also own a 1975 P6 2200, did the BMW series of cars retain the use of P numbers? I know the Range Rover has them on some models.

Welcome, I've got a Club SE too but far from standard I don't think the "P" numbers carried over, have a little read https://www.aronline.co.uk/cars/rover/75/

BMW cars though kind of kept the R series of Rover cars when they *ahem* stole the Bini design (R50 etc)

The only Rangie to have them was the P38A, or second generation Range Rover which was named after its design building number. Later models have all been "L" prefix such as L405, L322 etc.
