Default Seat belt stuck.

Gentlemen,
The right side seat belt on my Rover 75 has become stuck i.e. it will not allow the belt to be withdrawn from the B-pillar. It is as if the inertia locking mechanism that stops you in a crash has become locked. Is there any way of fixing this?? The belt is made by Autoliv. Any suggestions? Thanks, Chris Varming+

unless it is seized or locked it needs slack on the belt to recoil a little and reset itself. it also needs a period of time in between events to reset. sometimes the belt has a twist or fold in its coil which understandably cannot be rewound again until it releases.
