Hi Gordon.
Yes I have a couple of sets of those very useful, I am sure Aldi sell them also come spring time.
I don't have a set of these but I do have a set of good quality stainless steel dental picks, one of which is particularly useful for removing the rubber O ring on the steel canister type oil filter on the BMC 1.5 diesel engine on my boat. This is renowned for being a pig of a job, so much so that many boaters give up in despair and fit the spin-on filter conversion. With the dental pick I can get the old O ring out in one second flat.

Not in my branch. Still coming up at £15. Went in special as well.
I wonder if individual stores are allowed to reduce just their prices to clear their unwanted stock to free shelf space?

You do need to be careful of some of there products, my Mother ''treated me'' to a 4ft Crowbar that had been on special offer at her local Lidl. It seemed well made, I used it to lever some paving slabs and the next thing I knew I was on the ground with half a crowbar in my hand, it had snapped in half. I had not anymore pressure than I thought was acceptable but it was not up to the job. I have also heard of some spanners that were little stronger than plastercine, probably OK to keep in the boot of the car for an emergency.

Cool

If I'd bought a crowbar, and if it broke while I hit the MIL over the head with it, I would wipe the blood off, and go and complain vociferously to the store manager.

But maybe that's just me !!!

I really do hate malfunction indicator lights.

Trust me, the last thing you want in an emergency situation is a tool that's rubbish. Spanners, sockets and even crowbars made of plasticine aren't worth it in any situation.

Actually maybe keeping in the car in case of emergency is a really bad idea....just when you need it most it fails?

Question Batteries in short supply.

Apparently the Aldi 20V/2Ah and 20V/40V/5Ah/2.5Ah batteries are in short supply, and may be coming back into stock on 2nd/6th/9th January..
Please reply if you see any for sale, when, and where
