Please explain the following.

As of August 2022, the price of crude oil per barrel is $89.10, and the average price per litre of petrol in the UK is £1.77p.

But back in June 2008, the price of crude oil per barrel was $187.04, and the average price per litre of petrol in the UK was £1.04p.

So as things stand, the price per barrel of crude oil is 52.3% down from the price in 2008, but the price per litre of petrol is 70% up from 2008.

Can you see now how you are being lied to when the Government and mainstream media tell you that these rising costs are due to the war in Ukraine?

Do they (the government) want to limit how far you travel?

Britain as been like this for quite some time. In th work place th accodemics are th most tressured. Th NHS is run on percentages. Th goverment should be a buisness were if they fail to acheive there objectives they are fired. Th media work on "If it bleeds it reads" Capatalism dosnt work, or if it does only for th few. (You ask th Romans) And get rid of th house of lords while we are at it. We all know who perpetuates th class system. We blame China for pollution then surround our selves with must av gadgets that they produce for us. Its a mess.

But what is th answer. Iv no idea...

Levelling up would give th workers hope. Th insect world have th right idea. All work together for one goal. "We are all in it together". Said th bloke who was sitting pretty and has no concept of th other 99% that keep it all going for his pleasure.

Conclusion.

So lets all go down th pub and discuss it at length. That should work.!!!! Or lets sit back and watch th race spiral ever faster to th bottom.

Th last one to leave can put th lights out.

On a possitive note. Its going to be sunny today...

We are being totally manipulated by both governments and media. All out to suit their own ends. Been watching the programme about the oil companies knowing about climate change being their fault since the 70's and 80's and covering it up big time, including some very well paid scientists who have now admitted that they misled the public.

With a huge lump of fuel prices being tax, the government is coining it in (no doubt to pay for Covid, Brexit etc. etc.). I am not blaming any political party for this as they all look after themselves and I don't want to let this discussion become political. I no longer watch news to the extent that I did, as I get depressed.

I do object to being overcharged for fuel, which is free when it is sat in the ground. Any costs are due to extraction, processing, transport, distribution and of course profit. The costs cannot possibly have risen in the same way that retail prices of fuel have???

The above post is being very selective with statistics. The price stated for 2008 was a peak, not the average. Also, the post has not considered how long that state of affairs could have continued - were the oil production campanies making profits or losses at the peak?

This may help with a better understanding of matters. https://fullfact.org/economy/petrol-crude-oil-prices/

We've always been controlled. We were controlled 100 years ago, a 1000 years ago, even when we crawled out of the swamp at the dawn of time we were controlled.

Actually we are probably less controlled today than at anytime in the past.
