Default Rats in Rovers

Across the world rats getting into or living in cars can be a problem where they chew parts, chew wires or leave a risk of infection. Anyone had a problem with the Rover 75? I thought there was a strange smell the other day, like that of dead rat. But the smell didn't last

Or should we just engage with inevitable change and recognise rats in Rover 75/ZT may aspire to a kind of social mobility

We do not have rats in cars but on cars.

The XF is KY51 RAT and the Twintop KYSS RAT.

I would love an XF Sportbrake in Stratus Grey with WU51 RAT on it.

Default Cats

Working on a friends car I found wedged between the undertray and the gear box a dead cat, How long it had been there I dont know but it was well de-composed. It must have done many many miles under there

When I had my rear shockers replaced a while ago, the mechanic told me he'd found a mouse's nest. Not sure where, as I used my boot a fair bit and had never spotted anything... wonder how they get in?

I had a mouse or a rat chew through the main harness under the ecu in the plenum, it took a lot of soldering to repair it!!

Peppermint oil os supposed to keep them at bay.

I'm cringing at the thought of that. We had a boiler control cable chewed through under the floorboards when living in Aberdeen and it took months to catch it. We were concerned it could chew through the alkathene water pipe. It was a big critter. Never thought about them getting into a car though.

I was told cats from a V6 can be worth up to £500.
