Hi Rob,

I haven't got it at home but I will pop into the shop Saturday and see if any software is still lurking on the computer there.

I'll let you know either way.

Default NAVALL PREMIUM (android) help required

Hi Guys

Trying to get 2 brand new units working which I bought from Sean 2 years ago (now long gone I believe)
Model was sold as: NAVALL "PREMIUM"

They have just been sat in their boxes since!!

Opened them this morning only to find NO SD cards so the GPS is just a white screen & of course no MAPS
(Sean said he sent them but unsurprisingly they never arrived)

What is really annoying with these Chinese units is there's no Model numbers on them.
These say they support Google MAPS but that I guess would be via the SIM slot which I doubt we will use.

The other slot on LH side is MICRO SD slot for the MAPS & other software

Anyone got a download link for IGO 8? or whatever I need please?

Thanks in advance
Jules

The "premium" has WiFi so if you connect it to an access point (say at home) you can download and try Sygic. I have been using that on another Android unit and my phone and it performs pretty decent. Not cripleware or annoying adds; just an occasional question to upgrade to the paid version. App is free and the maps are from OSM so free also

PS. iGO is a paid app so providing a download link would be illegal (at least in my country)

Give it a try

Good tip Sjonnie so Thanks.

Another idea which I've yet to try is to pair it with a phone via Bluetooth and simply use Google maps.
Then live traffic data right there on the screen

Hi I have bought a new car which has a Navall Star head unit (the one with the home button in the top left).

I'm looking to fit a reverse camera which is compatible with it, can anyone recommend one which can be fitted with minimum fuss and will also switch the screen automatically when I select reverse. I've seen wifi versions, but it looks like you then have to select the app to use them, which is a bit of a pain when reversing!
Also does anyone know where I can obtain a user manual for this? I've looked around google and can't seem to find anything.
Lastly if there's a specific model to this that someone can tell me, I'd really appreciate that.

Eddie

If you choose a wired one it should plug into the back of the Navall and you can wire it to the reversing light in the boot so it will activate when you select reverse, you may need an extension lead unless the camera comes with one to get from the back of the navall to the rear of the car, decide where you are going to fix it and choose one which has a suitable fixing bracket , plenty on e bay
