Default random fuel gauge???

hey folks,

recently got my zt-t on the road however i have noticed the fuel gauge seems to read whatever it wants to lol, there any known problems with these? and fixes?

car is a 02 plate zt-t 190 v6

To be honest the fuel gauges can be, "lets say a little random" in their readings, on occassions the float reader in the tank can get stuck. Mine did this about 2 weeks ago but it has cleared itself now and has since been fine. What i find is if you get in the car & it registers 3/4 full and go on a long journey the gauge may hardley move but when you stop turn off the engine and restart the gauge finds it's new level. I soon worked out it's little quirks & can more or less trust it's reading.

To be honest I'm a driver that once it hits quarter full I refill anyway. :lol:
