Driving hints in Germany??
Off to Germany for a fortnight.
Although I have driven there before , 20 years ago, any hints about making sure I keep right and turn into the correct lane. What about a round-about? Do the same rules apply ? (obviously ant-clockwise) It will be a left-hand drive car. Craig.

Stick a bit of coloured insulating tape inside your windscreen on the off-side at eye level (next to the pillar).
If you ever have a momentary lapse of 'Which side should I be on ?' the tape will remind you. Good luck with the trip, we use to do France & Spain and made it down to Gibraltar once (in my old 825D ), always enjoyed it Opps ! Just noticed it's a LHD, the above may not work quite so well

Last time I was in Germany we were fined for not having a pass for the autobahn, even though we had been told to get it from the next services

Are the autobahns only specific motorways-sections of-or all of them ?

Been driving to Germany for 30 years. never had any problems with anything. ( big head). I always used to say to myself ' if my ass is in the gutter, I'm on the right side'. But you are going in a left lugger, so all I can really say is keep your right hand wheel in the gutter.[ Islands) there are not many, and always keep your eyes on the signposts. Use a sat nav if you have one, it takes the stress out of looking for signs. Be careful when turning left, don't forget the cars will be coming from your Right not the left. And most of all take your time and don't panic. Autobahn is the name given to Motorways only.[/U][/U][/U]
