hi guys I was given this today the guy didn`t know if this worked or not is there anyway of finding out

Looking on Kenwoods website shows no match for that unit,however,the hideaway units they have all need to be matched up to a compatible head unit so until you can source the correct one I don't think you will be able to test it.
