Default Dash light warning

Guys, hoping someone on here may have an idea, my lamp warning light is on on the dash but all my lights are fine. I do have the LEDs for the door lighting and think one of these isn't working, would this cause the issue. Cheers guys

Could be, the LED's unless fitted with a resistor will not show as present.
Also check your rear numberplate lights, if both are out you will get a fault.

Only the road lighting is monitored for failures - brake lights but not the high level one and both number plate lights would need to fail, to show a fault. If any of the road lighting has been replaced with none Can-bus compatible LED's that could flag a fault.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Slight update, have been having a look around and found that it isnt the LED's as they are all working, the problem seems to be the rear passenger side fog light. It isnt the bulb as works in the drivers side, have looked at the contacts and everything looks okay, anyone have any ideas. Do they run on independent fuses etc and is it an MOT failure, looking at the law it's only the drivers side that needs to be working under the law

cheers everyone

Foglights aren't on the canbus system, so wouldn't trigger the dash light. Check brake lights or rear lights, as when one fails, the brake light bulb operates as a rear light, & vice versa.

Are you sure all the bulbs are OK,Because if the rear side light goes out they automatically put the brake light bulb on at a reduced brilliance to compensate.

Might be worth checking while some one puts the brakes on to see if the brake light comes on

The rear fog lights are monitored by the bulb failure system, it's the front ones that are not.

well had a look and look like it may have been water ingress, have checked the light unit and white stuff and rust on both contacts and light unit, will try to clean this up and see if it makes a difference, if not guess it will be a new rear unit!!! anyone got any idea of much this will cost, Typical in MOT week as well
