editing photos
last Saturday i was honoured to be one of two photographers at the wedding of a young chap that i have known since he was a toddler, I took about 1000 pics from beginning till the end of the night. I was wondering what sort of editing suite other people are using, as i would like to do the happy couple a small album of edited pics. ( i have already given the happy couple a copy of all the photos i took on a flash stick and they are more than happy with those,) cheers in advance

I'm sure someone will be on to help as I'm at a basic level on this but for genral stuff like straightening the image/cropping minor light/shade adjustments I use Picasa but I don't think you can download it anymore. The real sophisticated stuff will swallow up time something serious.

Adobe Lightroom is great for "developing" digital photos (cropping, adjusting tonality, etc), whilst Photoshop is great for the more heavy handed stuff (removing or adding objects etc). Neither are particularly cheap though.
This site has some recommendations for free alternatives you may like to look at. Haven't tried any of the software myself though, so can't comment from personal experience. Cliff

As mentioned, Adobe Lightroom is a very popular one. Most photographers I know use this as well as myself. Not particularly difficult either. Anything you’re not sure of, just youtube it.
