Default Steering Wheel Radio Controls Stopped Working.

As per title, the steering wheel radio controls have been working fine until today, when I noticed they all seem to have packed up (volume, mode and tuning).

Cruise control buttons on the other side of the wheel are all working ok. Radio is the factory fit Blaupunkt CD32, buttons on this all functioning as normal. Car is a 2004 diesel manual Tourer.

Any thoughts on where I should start looking would be gratefully received

Not yet . Mine is odd because it works absolutely fine when I start off then it stops at some point later.

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess it'll be battery disconnect, wait a while for the air bags to go dormant then off with the steering wheel.

I've not had chance to inspect it yet, but I do have another steering wheel, so will start with that. But can't see all the buttons failing at once, there must be a common fault (such as a bad earth, etc.) ??
