Default The Water Hole Movie

First of all I must apologise for the road trip/trucker lead in, which does not last long. A birthday treat from the family in Nairobi for a 2 night stay at a safari lodge in Tsavo Kenya. If you like seeing Elephants and Wild Buffalo, I hope you will like this.

A private sanctuary of 10,000 acres where the wild animals roam freely and are protected

I absolutely love elephants makes my blood boil when they are harmed by so called humans.

Unfortunately, ivory is big business and it is much sought after in China. South Africa has taken to dyeing Rhino and Elephant tusks, rendering the ivory useless for this despicable trade. Poaching is a capital offence in Kenya and this allows the rangers to 'shoot to kill' if they wish to do so.

Only last month, poachers were shot dead in a 'shoot out'....

Just got chance to sit down and watch the video, thanks for sharing it Phil, some of us can only dream of being behind a camera with such a vista in front.

Hi Jim

With my health improving its been almost a year since I had the chance of seeing the wildlife from behind the lens. I am currently working on a 2nd movie made up of unseen clips from the first.

Today it is our shortest day of the year by 15 minutes and our coldest, as it is mid-winter here. Hopefully things will start to warm up soon and I can get snapping

I am particularly looking forward to seeing your next presentation Jim and the stories you are able tell us through film about the meets and later on, Gretna. Onwards and upwards eh Thank you for helping me with video editing advice behind the scenes....much appreciated.

Wonderful video, Phil & Jessica. I was pleased that no predators came to spoil the party.

Thank you Will, we had an armed ranger in the background behind us on standby, however the animals seemed happy enough

Thanks for your kind words Phil, I look forward to your 2nd movie.

I'm only just about to start editing the Scottish National, I had an ear infection which has delayed things somewhat, it's a bit of a problem not being able hear well enough to set the sound levels.

Best regards
Jim
