Default heater

Hello, can anyone give me an answer to why I have lost heat coming out of passenger side air vents on my 1999 2ltr petrol 75. Thanks

Hello Paul,

A forum search will reveal lots of reading on this subject. It's generally thought to be hard water deposits restricting the flow through the heater matrix on the passenger side. This is probably because the flow isn't across the matrix from one side to the other, it's between top and bottom and both flow and return connections are on the driver's side.

Hi Scooterman,
Does air come out of the vents, but cold?
Same amount as the other side? Or is flow also reduced? If so, have you checked the cabin filter for that side?
Have you got climate control or the (far superior, IMHO) knobs?

Default heater

Hello, the air coming out from the passenger side all of a sudden went cold the air on drivers vents is hot , I can hear flaps operating when adjusting controls. The blower output is good on both sides. Is there a flap that might have stuck that only allows cold air through? Thanks.

Heater matrix might be blocked. You'll need to disconnect the pipes, remove and clean out. If you look under the dash towards the centre console, you'll see the pipework https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ead.php?t=7515

Scooterman, do you have dual zone air conditioning, with the LED display and enough buttons to run an X-box, or the old analogue knobs you have to turn yourself?

Once the engine is a full operating temperature, hold the revs at 2.5 to 3k.. does the passenger side get hot then?

If it happened all of a sudden my guess is it could be a blender fault, either actuator/servo, or linkage. Never had to address such an issue, but if I did that is where I would go. As for it always happens on the passenger side, well the door locks always fail to unlock, same thing, passenger side could be inferior to drivers side.
