Default Windows 8 roll back

If like me you hate windows 8 there is a solution, there is free software out there called Classic Shell once downloaded you can change the look of Windows 8 to windows 7, XP or Vista and more importantly you get your shutdown button back

You may already be aware of it but if not and Windows hate does your head in then give it a go

My understanding is that is only being tested for release late October early November with he official release 2014 but a link would be nice if out now

I think the pre-release test may be out but from what I've read full of bugs.

It's not just the start button Shell gives the look of the old windows of choice and does away with that annoying slide in menu from the right.

it's RC version. Full public automated rollout in Sept.

Given I also hated Windows 8 and used classic shell, i've now been able to goto 8.1 and it works very well actually.
Still got some annoying gubbins for touch enabled, but it's a massive improvement.

If it wasn't coming soon i'd say classic shell also, but it's here to stay so may as well embrace it

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/w...eview-download

and no bugs i've found so far

It's a bit posh for me, I thought I was state of the art with Windows 7 in 2010
