Default Pipe

Another interesting mod from Arctic but I wonder what it cost compared to the new Silicone pipe about to become available via Wullie? I also think is is essential to have at least one length of flexible pipe in the system (Silicone not rubber) otherwise, with the vibration of the diesel engines something will eventually break?
EDIT: This now becomes another BRILLIANT suggestion from ARCTIC since we learn that the price of the Silicone pipe is £88.0!

Hi John & Fredrick
The intercooler pipe as two flexible pipes one coming off the intercooler plastic bend, and one from the egr since doing this pick up on the car as changed for the better not that it was bad in the first place but I can feel the difference no doubt about it.

Cost for alloy part was £27.94 the hose used was what I had already, BMW part was 2003 E46 32D intercooler pipe M47N

With out the sensor BMW X5 3.0 M57D30 Turbo intercooler boost pipe 2000 -2006 £24.45

Hi Simon
They are BMW I bought four in all to trace which one would be best for my car, which as the boost sensor, and that came from a 2003 BMW E46 320d Intercooler Pipe M47N cost £27 minimum that's average price, but at least I know I will not have to change the pipe once it starts deteriorating and going porous like the OEM doe's, at a cost of £50 + or more a time either for OEM or silicone and the boost is so much better. cheers Arctic

Really Struggling to find out the a part number/ supplier of the pipe with the sensor boss.

Done hours of searches, not yet found anything similar, and most spares sites want a REG number . so even resorted to looking for odd beemers on Fleabay with their reg plates showing and using them ?, but obviously don't know if they are the right model ...

The only place so far is parts gateway, sent a pic amd a single breakers offering me one at 50 quid plus 12 for post ....

Hi Chris.
I only found two when I was looking for mine I too went through different cars at the time Skoda, VW, Seat, Audi etc

I have found this one with out the sensor boss.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3609607199...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

seen this one which is similar but also silly money and you would need to know if our sensor would fit into the boss area of it ?

Cheers for that Steve,

Had another breaker offer one at 26 quids so a bit better ,

Do need to change my pipe soon it is getting very soft and squidgy...

Could do it with alloy/silicon tubes and clips but with the new sensor included it gets very messy looking and sooo! many clips/leaks ..

If the new proposed Silicon pipe turns up that would the biz
but ?? when

toying with idea of putting a threaded boss on the bored out EGR ? as its just a tube now ?

or machine the EGR and the sensor housing to fit together and miss out that short piece of rubber ,

ta

C.
