Yes it's a Harmony unit. I'm beginning to think these 12 pin connectors are for something else and I need to buy and install a new cable to connect up with.

I am sure the 12 pin is the CD changer connector. I shall see if I cannot find a thread on it.

This talks about a 10 pin connector too So where that leaves us as regards the 12 pin connector we have I do not know! |

I think I'll go the easy way and buy a cable and get the job finished. That still doesn't answer the question of what the 12 pin connector's for though, I'm sure we will find out eventually.

I was sure it was the CD changer cable! Sorry about that! As you say it would be nice to find out what it can connect to!

So far I have found a 12 pin black connector for the cruise control relay, which, if you haven't got cruise would be spare - but the cable colours differ..........still looking.

Hi Ray, no I haven't got cruise control but wouldn't that mean that all cars without cruise control would have the spare 12 pin connector and does that also mean that if that connector is for cruise control then it would be easily retro-fitted because the car would be pre-wired. Mind that seems like a reasonable explanation for the connector.
Many thanks for everyone's effort to try to resolve this, Les. |

Some wiring looms, or parts of a loom, are the same for all versions of a particular car, but not necessarily all the cables for a particular option are there, in the case of the cruise connector, all 12 pins are used (if it's that one!)
