Dont say that to me.

Nah she is 100% as she left the factory, well minus a label or two maybe.

I got the chassis number as you say from the suspension strut and windscreen, but just wanted to confirm the trim and paint code.

It will be down economics, turbo gone but could also be head. the head has been done before. Apparently the turbo can fail soon after head failure.

I will still be taking the head off to check for annealed block and/or sunken liners and if so will obtain a new turbo block and swap all the bits over.

I had, but someone on Forum made me an offer I couldn't refuse for it. He came all the way up from Middlseborough to collect too. In fact I was so impressed with his attitude, qualifications and actually being down to earth for a youngster, I managed to persuade him to take an interview with my employer. He started with us 2 weeks ago, has spent the first week in France on introduction training and is now undergoing a 2 year programme with us here in Aberdeen.

He got more than he had thought he was coming up here for.

Well done for saving it, pity there are not a few more around like you and pity there are not a few more breakers that actually have the sense to sell the whole car.
