Take wheel off
Quote:
One thing I have found is that it is much easier if you take the wheel off. Take care not to dislodge the retaining spring that holds bulb in or.......... It will be a bumper off job Not that I have....er....done that of course! Chris |

I have xenon headlights so I have to take the bumper off to change bulbs main beam and side light on drivers side is ok to change via access panel but passenger side is impossible because they put the air intake right behind the panel.

Haven`t this discussion been here before??? Here we go again...
Sorry to say, changing the headligth bulb on this car is one of the most pleasant jobs I ever do... It takes me 2-3 minutes and the job is done. Compared to a lot of other makes, a bumper removal is often required... and yes... I do not have "gorilla paws..." |

Like I say, it's a doddle on these cars. Try a Renault Meganne.

Passenger side is tricky, driver's side requires a contortionist with very small hands. Eyes in the finger-tips would be an advantage, because half the problem is that, with your hand inside the lamp, you can't see what you're doing. Whoever designed these fittings definitely had a sense of humour! Those who have found a way of doing the job in minutes could earn themselves a fortune doing it for the rest of us!
I haven't had to change a main beam bulb yet but that definitely looks like a "front end off" job! |

The mechanic at the garage I use did mine in about 10 mins. Just as well it's not a Renault Megane, They are hours.
