Default Lumber adjuster

Hey, when I bought my car the previous owner had replaced the drivers seat cover at some point but he didnt cut a hole as he was a bit worried about messing it up. Is it possible to just buy the adjuster wheel and make a hole for it? I will I need to remove the cover?
Cheers
Phill

depends on if the cable has been left in place.which in turn attaches to the knob.
