hmmm i might have exaggerated by saying rest of the world, let me admit that.

However what im trying to say is: The chance of selling Phil's car to somebody in an other country is very slim due the right-hand side steering wheel.

I personally love Phil's car and would happily spend 1200 for it (if it wasnt for the steering wheel)

Just a bit of trivia, and doesn't help your situation but worth a thought.
in 1975 I had a part time pre-college job on a farm and the foreman Dutch" Hank "went to trade in his MK 2, 2.4 jaguar (Inspector Morse) at BL for a Marina. ( if only he knew)The salesman said he wasn't interested in the Jag but would still give him a discount.
Anyway I told my Dad, and he bought it for me for £50. I used to tinker with it and drive it in our field. Shortly after we moved home 200 miles so it was sold . But I wish I had it today
Paul.

I read through this entire post hoping to see pictures of this car but there are non. Is it in the "for sale" section ? It's ok for people who know this car to prise it but there are thousands of us who've not seen it and therefore can't offer a price not that we should be offering as that's against the rules of the club

I offered (one of the many) asking prices for this, my old ZT. A lovely car, but it seems, that after 2 weeks with no comms, that its not going to be mine again very sad. I hope it turns up again one day, I just hope it was not sold to be broken. I would have given it a lovely home again. Should not have sold it in the first place really.

I did try to save it, I notice its no longer insured now, but still taxed for now

I offered to buy but was told you were having at it at £900 if it was delivered ? then it's offered on sale @ £900 with delivery ? less bit's being removed i seem to think this thread was bigg'd up to keep it fresh so to speak and it was never gonna be sold at (900, or 1100, it's worth what it's worth bit's added are for your self satisfaction and enhance the car also if belts are needed they need to be done it helps sell the car later on.

Yes, that was correct, It was going to be delivered to me, and I have put arrangements in place to store, etc. Two weeks with no communication, and I'm at a loss to know what was happening, so I have given up.

Since I agreed to buy it, various posts (and gumtree adverts!) have popped up still selling it at various prices, £1000, £1100...., very strange, not how I do business.

I even topped up my offer past the £900...

A shame, as I was deadly serious, just not got the time to make the trip to collect, but it was all agreed.

Its not insured now, so I guess that's that.

Would totally agree I will say you topped my offer of 700 which with only 3 on the table being cortina's at £600-700 but the other end of the country you should be the proud owner. Funny how it all started with what's she worth? Or I'll px it for less. This thread and in the sale section along with every other advert, eBay, gummers and fb has not sold it so perhaps it's worth less, interest will be less when it gets offered again that's for sure, lucky escape me thinks. What is it they say buyers are time wasters
