OEM Rear parking sensors.
So my 75 has OEM parking sensors that I have been meaning to fix since I bought the car.
No beep or anything when I first got the car so I began my diagnostic. 1. No reverse light - had a new switch fitted ( reverse lights now working). 2. Still nothing so I bought a new parking sensor ECU that mounts in the boot. (Thought I was onto a winner here as the pins in the connectors were corroded). Cleaned out the connectors on the car side and plugged my new ECU in. Now all I got was a 5 second beep. 3. Put the car in reverse and went to listen to the actual sensors. All clicking away happily. 4. Tried to clean them with some isopropyl. Still just the long beep. I'm now at a dead end looking for some help from the wise people of this site. Cheers Shaun |

i have had problems with my OEM parking sensors - the long bleep - if your sensors are all live as mine where look at the connector which brings together the 4 separate sensor looms half way between the Parking ECU and the sensors. When the connector was examined there was clear evidence of corrosion - so cleaned the connector up and a good rub with iso propyl and 18 months on they are working fine.
