Trident seems to work quite well.

Could we secretly have or be part of a 'Starwars' programme?

Some weeks ago I heard a very well informed journalist say, "If there is a nuclear strike on the UK we are very confident that we can take them out, although one may still get through".I'm not sure what he knows that we don't but he sounded very convincing.

What do you think?

I'm sure living in a radioactive wasteland bereft of any semblance of a normal society will be fine.

Might have trouble getting the weekly shop in, a doctor's appointment or, really worrying, parts for the cars.

What are property prices like in mid Wales then ?

Funny you ask that, we're about to put our house on the market and Wales is somewhere we are considering. It is apparent that one gets a lot of brick for one's buck.

Weather is far more amendable for one's asthma too. The main reason I must add.

Yes, but it an offensive weapon with MIRV warhead. It will not intercept single or multi-warhead ICBM's. Patriot, I think, will be effective against tactical and cruise.

As far as I know the "Starwars" programme was cancelled (frozen is more likely) in return for START.

Just seen on the news that Germany and Austria have broken ranks and opened bank accounts with Gazprom. They can now buy gas from Russia. In Roubles. What else. So much for unity in EU.

Better to not have them flying in the first place I think. Seem to recall a Type 45 could, in theory, use their Sea Viper system but not sure where I read it.
