MOT failure- be warned
My 2005 MG 1.8 tt+ has just failed its MOT on a leaking shock absober.
Trying to source a replacement has proved difficult as this item is no longer listed as available. My local MG Rover garage has had to fit a pair of alternative shock absorbers to enable me to pass the retest |

We are still suppling Xpart and best of british with dampers and modules so I'm surprised you could not get a replacement.

Which Damper was it? Front or rear? They all look available, unless the part number that they used had been superseeded (i.e. RPD000150 is now RPD000151 on the rears)

The shock absorber was for the front offside and according to the label under the rear seat the code was SS. It is not listed by Rimmers

Thats strange, can't see an SS on the listings on this table :-
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=58113 It shows the code should be SH, using damper RNB001060, unless you have the sports pack, the code for which is KP |
