Default wiring up and amp and subs - no rover content

Hi, need some advice for my son who has bought some second hand gear. If this should be moved to the social section MODS please move.

He has bought a box with 2 Kicker subs, 4Ohm each I think but I've not checked. He also bought a 4 channel amp which can be run in either 4, 3 or 2 channel mode. It's a mutant NW480SP which I haven't been able to find a manual for. Just looking to see what settings and how to wire it for the best sub performance. He's 17 and just wants it loud

Any help much appreciated.

Tricky one that, I would say 1 sub to each channel and then split a single input into 2 to feed the same signal to both channels. If the amp can be bridged down to a single channel then do that and wire the subs in series.

Pretty sure the amp is 2 Ohm stable.

So wiring in series is best?

We may be running the front pair on 2 channels and the subs on the bridged other channel - hints and tips for the best way to wire them anyone?

If the Amp is 2ohm and the subs are 4 then parallel might be best. Maybe something like this

If you have a half decent head unit I'd be inclined to try running the fronts off it directly and only move to the external amp if they're not been driven hard enough. I've found the the amp's in modern head units are normally not too bad.
