Breather pipe insert

Hi everybody,

Does anyone know if i can get hold of the pipe inserts that hold the breather pipes in place.

Its the breather pipe that goes into the top of the throttle body that has disintegrated and the only thing that is holding it down is the engine cover but that obviously does not secure it into the throttle body.

Thanks, did look on their site, but could only find the larger inserts with the red fasteners for the front cam cover and the inlet manifold.

I ran short of these (both sizes) some time ago. Someone on here (forget who, sorry) sent me a small handfull. Afterwards I found somewhere selling them - not sure who it was (not helpful I know) but they were Land Rover related. Worth a Google? Try the DMGRS description/part no. toGoogle with?

Spent a lot of search/wait time looking myself. If anyone comes up with a source please post - I think (maybe Trikey) told me they were 'available' from hydraulic/compressed air fittings specialists but I've only drawn a blank so far

No joy i'm afraid, not even dmgrs can source them.

Only option was to source another throttle body with some good inserts, without paying a fortune. Have done that with dmgrs( thanks).

What are the dimensions? Also, any photo of the part?

9mm diameter, read a previous post where member tried 8&10mm and they were too big and too small.

9mm inserts not available anywhere.

IT's one of the connections to the top of the body, there are two identical, its the one to the front of the throttle body (above the air cleaner connections that has disintegrated, you can see the insert i am looking for.

OK I've got a supply for you.

Way back when, I suffered a spate of cracked or broken T-pieces, and at £20-25 a time, I decided to make my own.
A trip to a local caravan dealer's accessory shop, and I found some plastic pipe (suitable for hot water, so it should be ok), and a 3-way T-piece. I made up a replacement breather pipe from these, and ran the pipe for many years, on 2 cars.
I've just removed the present (Rover) pipe from my present car, so you will know the one I'm referring to (Pic1).
I've dug out from the shed, the remaining parts of my own build (damaged some time ago when I dropped a soldering iron on it), (Pic 2). Ignore the damaged connection at the bottom.
The blue pipe (discoloured with age) is the caravan water pipe, fitted nicely into the T-piece, which is marked as 12mm. I've temporarily plugged my present (black) pipe into the T-piece as well, just to show that it fits snugly.

So, there is a source of the clips, inside the T-piece & other types) of 12 mm connectors. I would imagine that they can be removed from the connectors, even if the latter have to be broken apart. I'm in the middle of working on my injectors at the moment, but when I get a chance I'll break mine down to see.
