my first cry for help
hello, i've just bought a mk 2 saloon diesel thats done 70,000mls.
It,st got many faults that I,m working on. The strangest one is a howling noise when I,m stationery and revving the engine between idle and 1500-2000 revs. I,ve checked turbo hoses and air filter box ( there was damage to the box where it seals, and i,ve corrected this ??? ) any ideas |

One of the more knowledgeable folk will be along soon, but I would have a look at the exhaust? Could be you can hear the turbo spooling up via a split in the flexi??

Is the air con on? If so switch it off (econ Button) and see if the noise disappears.
