Default Cars for work purposes

Just curious but how many cars are still used for work purposes? My ZT CDTI does up to 25,000 miles each year (about 10,000 miles for work) and only gets a wash now and again. Inside is not always the tidiest. That said, it wants for nothing in terms of its mechanical or electrical needs.

Reason i ask is that those ZTs / 75s I see on the roads are nearly always clean and shiny whilst mine not quite so!

Not used for business purposes but for the daily commute shopping and everything else a young family use a car for.
Me and the wife have a 75 diesel each. Up until last week my tourer had been our main car for us both getting to work, etc covering around 1k miles in a month and had done for a good 4-5 months without issue and is still going well now without any niggles. Haven't had the wife's 75 long tho. So haven't put many miles on that yet.

I use my 75 diesel tourer for everyday travel, holidays and commuting to work and back (if I am not using one of the bikes).
The ZT-T gets used for weekends and days out mostly, but also some longer journeys and just for a good blatt when I feel like it.
Both cars are kept as clean as possible and want for nothing mechanically, anything they need they get.
Picture of both of them basking in the sun earlier this week.

My 05 ZT-T is a daily driver and general family runabout.
It’s also far from clean and shiny like some of the examples here, due to it being used for house renovations by the previous owner. Though I am aiming to tidy it up a little bit and keep it for a long while as I’ve only had it since December.

Tend to use my diesel Jags for daily runs - 60+ mpg on a good run makes even more sense than the 75s, but seats are not as comfortable.

I live next to a farm so can guarantee that within a few hours of washing or polishing the car, it is covered in grime again.

I'm currently using a 1969 Morris Minor as my daily driver

Sometimes I give it a rest and take the motorbike.
Thats 82 years old.

But actually the vehicles I use most frequently are my bicycles.
The "new" one is 39 years old
The other is from 1936.....

My Tourer is my "daily" drive, I no longer work. Body has seen better days but mechanically it is ok. I did however use my saloon yesterday and it is a much more pleasant drive. Quieter, smoother and more posh, makes me feel good driving it. I do however need to do work on the handbrake as it is not very good, could be shoes but am wondering if the drums have rusted and pitted.

Yup. I have the 75 and a 220 coupe turbo. The 75 is my daily and is now doing 44 miles a day on my round trip to work. 05 plate CDTi on 85k. Barely run in. Very tidy on top but needs a titivate underneath.
