Default diesl intermittent cutting out

Good morning I may have posted this in the wrong forum previously ,however I have a problem with a 2ltr Rover diesel which cuts out intermittently it will restart straight away but may cut out again after a couple of minutes, has anyone any experience of this .Also ,when the sensor in the fuel filter senses low fuel pressure ,does the ECU disconnect the earth from the fuel pump relay ,or put the engine into limp mode ,can the pierburg pressure relief valve fail and cause low fuel pressure at the pump ?

Firstly check the plenum fir signs of water, if your ecu has had a bath this can cause your issues.

If all is dry, listen to see of your in tank fuel pump is working,if not you will need over a quarter of a tank of fuel to keep the car running.

Failing the above, do an injector leak back test.
