Unhappy The Good News is..................

........................ The Flying Banana passed her MOT.

The bad news she has dumped all her coolant in the workshop. The radiator has split yet again. This will be her 4th radiator in the 11 years of ownership. The garage have located one but it will not be delivered till tomorrow.

Still it’s not as if I’m going anywhere soon. And I have the Bear to fall back on.

That's good news on the MOT but a shame the rad's gone. Much better that it happened at the workshop than on the road Bob.

Indeed. Doesn't like travelling at less than 69.9mph Bob! [only kidding]

Hope all is well with you Bob? You kindly transported some bits from Weymouth to the Longbridge event for me to collect a few years back.

Hi Bob.
Congrats on the pass, what is going on with the radiator ? how come they keep splitting, surely it as to be poor rad or some sort of pressure.

Oh dear didn't know all had split
I think I'd be looking for a reason that so many have failed, or is it a common fault on 1.8 turbo engines?

4 Rads in 11 years seems very odd to me - never known anyone with a 1.8T have such issues

It’s a Banana thing, she just has to be different. But she is still on her original clutch & turbo with 210,520 miles on the clock.

Sorry to hear about your rad problem Bob. Any idea what is causing it? Have you put the same make rad back in every time? Do you think there is some kind of twisting of the rad when it is fitted? Or is your right foot causing the chassis to twist in some way.
