No Pete that does the opposite
In the standard BMW harness TV is an option so you buy TV tuner and it comes with that lead, you then move one lead from the Nav Comp to the tuner and that one links the other one on the tuner back to the nav comp. |

I must have misunderstood the add then.
The google translation was: "Adapter to omit the TV module For BMW E38, E39, E46, X5, X3, Z4 If you MK1 on MK3/MK4 convert you need a new TV Adapter Module or to omit the TV module. If you are a multimedia interface for DVD video player in stereo want, but the TV function were used, this is the one you need to remove the TV module. " German never was my strong point! Pete |

No, I am probably wrong you may well be right I have not heard of a lead like that but looking more closely both ends of that lead are to take the plugs if it was the one I was thinking of to add the TV tuner it would have different connectors
Might be worth buying for an experiment |

Thats what I thought it was, best to ask first. The reason I asked about the colour was that with my original head the menu screen was blue this new one is grey??? I bought the new head from ebay so before I jump to conclusions and say there is a problem I just want to make sure. Tony |
