Default Fixing New Security Screws for number plate?

My ZT stuck on plates are lose...

I prefer using security bolts to fix them.

Is it easy to screw in bolts front and rear plates when nuts need to be attached to the rear of the plates/bolts?

Thanks all

Don't do it!
Take them off and clean the back of the plates thoroughly, along with the bumper area, then wipe them down with meths or IPA, refit using pads or tape and they will stay there forever.

Did that already but my front plate fell off after being baked a couple of weeks back in the noon day sun. Plenty of pads on the back, still failed. Now screw fixed.

I thought these were quite smart, albeit a bit pricey

Is yours just self-screw in or bolt and nut?
If bolt and nut how do u attach the bolt from behind on a MG???

Thanks.
I just need to know if easy to bolt onto my MG.

Don't want to buy the bolts then realised I have to remove the front AND rear bumpers to attach the nuts from behind !

Your local cop-shop can supply screws/bolts Etc, I got mine for an Astra from the police when they were nicked twice in a month.
They might even do it for you, depends, talk to crime prevention unit.

Front is ok, for the rear you'll have to drill into the boot lid which gives a point for the entry of rust. (you'll break through the galvanisation). I used the double sided number plate tape from a famous national motoring store. Everything has been fine for several years now despite my initial doubts. Absolute cleanliness before application is a must and don't be stingy with how much you use. Each of my plates has 4 equally spaced near vertical strips holding them on.

Hmmmm - ref rear plates - in that case I may continue to use double - sided.

Maybe add NO NAILS glue to the sticky pads....

Get genuine 3M auto tape as well. There are plenty of chinese tapes out there with 3M stamps on them that are poor copyright infringing junk.
