Hi thank you for this

Any idea we’re the ecm is? I guess I check all sensors on the car?

I’m ok mechanically but this technical bits with codes throws me


I have been at it all day & I have fixed the key fob! It was the bottom on the board that had fell apart!

Handy to know someone near tho

The ECM/ECU is passenger side in the plenum chamber - see link below .

Go and see Russ, he'll get the T4 on it and give it a full health check. Makes a cracking cup of tea as well

Yup - but as said go and see Russ - he is a T4 Guru and will sort you out -Liversedge near Huddersfield so not far from Donny.

This is my second 75 I bought it to save it from crusher

Only issue is I have to tax & insure it to take it there when I’m selling it on isn’t ideal

We’re is the abs unit please? Just so I know we’re to trace the wires?

I just try save many rovers as I can and pass them on for very little profit, as long as the car survives I’m

+1 fro Russ, dont bother trying to trace faults on our cars, you can be chasing your tail for days!

Russ will plug the car in to T4 and pinpoint where the issue(s) are.

I'll second that. Chased an airbag light on my old 1.8T for weeks, thought I'd solved it more than once but no. Gave up and saw Brian, two minutes he'd traced it to a duff seat belt pre tensioner.
