Thanks for that your a star. You live not far from my dad, he is in Ponty cluen I think thats how its spelt. Again thanks. I will replace the dead sensor and see if that does the trick.

Yesterday I replaced a dead parking sensor on my 02 plate tourer made sure all the wiring was together properly still have the same error beep only difference now is I can't hear any off the sensors clicking any advice on what's gone wrong?

Do you still have the old box? It might have been OK if it was only a sensor failure.

Wiring faults are more common than sensor failures. Simple way to check is to swap them .... except you need to get the bumper off first! It's not that hard and it's then easier to find the wiring fault if the sensor proves OK.
My 52 plate Tourer has the sounder in the IPK too.

Wiring is definitely the most common culprit, as it was done very badly, just soldered together and taped up.

If the wiring is the problem what is the best way of repair or can you buy new replacements?
