Sad sight in Aberdeenshire
A friend took these pictures yesterday whilst out and about near Huntly in Aberdeen shire. There's a few old abandoned cars on this abandoned farm but this Rover is one of the better ones. Not sure of the exact version but bet this looked stunning in its younger days!

True. It's a saloon. Had one in the early 70s, the first car I ever resprayed and I believe it still survives. Thirsty for short journeys, but this one looks a viable restorstion job so I hope someone is able to rescue it to do up, rather than it be wrecked on the banger-racing tracks. |

Such a shame to see them just rotting away in a field.
Really hope restoration is on the cards |

I was at Wimbledon and witnessed the follow in that resulted in this P5 folding very badly. [IMG][/IMG] . Last edited by Mike Noc; 29th May 2019 at 23:25.. |

The P5 was notorious for rusting, much of it unseen under the outer bolt-on front and rear wing; tricky to restore properly too. I can easily understand how this car folded up in a crash, something a P4 won't do due to its substantial box-section chassis. Still, it's a shame to see any classic reduced to scrap this way IMO. |
