Yes they did , can a diesel fan be used in a petrol?
Also read somewhere that Volvo fans start a 105? I'll take it apart again, add the gold resistor, take some photo's of the control box, have look inside the control box to see if it had been modified in anyway. Last edited by phenonix; 16th November 2019 at 20:39.. |

[QUOTE=SD1too;2776100]Thanks for repeating the test using the instrument pack diagnostics Joe. Unfortunately those results don't make sense. They correspond approximately with the medium speed only of a 3 speed system.
Based on that low speed is not working. But yet the demist test worked. Attached is the fan i received. Last edited by phenonix; 16th November 2019 at 21:24.. |

Joe, I cannot enlarge your thumbnail photograph. Can you post it using another method please?

Please try and take a close up photo of the control box, and it's wires leading from the motor to control out of the box to the plugs, a relay maybe playing up or a wire.

Hi Joe.
All the wire are ok ie in the right place, try replacing the relays, also trace back along all wires coming from the control box for chaffing etc.

Righty oh....
Changed the resistor and relays. Now it comes on at 99, then drops to 97....so all good so far..... Normal speed, nice and quiet, no rattles or noises. Wonder why the demist test worked though? Last edited by phenonix; 19th November 2019 at 08:32.. |
