Default Front fog lamps

As some of you may have read I have been having problems with m y headlights. On taking off the bumper to complete the headlamp issue, I noticed that there is wiring in place for the front fog lamps. Two questions- if I were to buy 2 fog lamps- how would they switch on. Are they wired to the rear fog lights- Do they work independently? and secondly do I require a separate switch on my Club CDT?

you will need to change the headlight switch for one that has the front and rear og liht switches and also change the box of tricks it attaches to.

they are independent of rear fog lights, MKI and MKII are different and one of the other models is different again, I think the V6

Behind the switch is a box of electronics, there is I think a ribbon in-between.
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001671

item 13 (front and rear fog lights) is what you see, item 12 is behind. You need both 12 and 13 unless of course you car has them but no fog lights

dirt cheap I suspect second hand.

items 11 and 10 are for cars with only rear fog lights

If you have the loom for front fog lights, you just need a pair of rover 75 fog lights + on the mki you need the black plastic fog light surrounds as you'll have blanks fitted at the moment. For the LSM you just need the face plate (the part with the buttons on it - item 13 in macafee2 link above) from a donor car that has front and rear fog lights (non xenon one, you need a halogen one with the manual height adjuster wheel for the headlamps). You don't need the complete LSM i.e item 12 in macafee2's link above, don't swap the whole LSM as it's programmed to the car. Just swap the front plate with the buttons and your front fog lights will work.

Also the fog lights on all rover 75's are the same. They are all the same oval shape, also fitted to the Rover 25/MG ZR, Rover 45/MG ZS and MGF/TF. Only the ZT fog lights are different as they are round.

These are the fog lights you need https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-ROVER-...temCondition=4

and this is the LSM you just need the switchs/face plate from. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-...EAAOSwCdVcsPMG

if there is no fog light harness on the car and the face plate has only the switch for the rear fog lights, do you them need the LSM as well?
