A possible return to ownership and some advice
good morning everyone,
sadley my previous 75 turned out to be a rot box, and I didn't have the space or means to give it the attention required. so 3 years on I'm toying with the idea of buying another one. here comes the advice bit lol I don't want to go into to much detail just in case I'm barking up the wrong tree so - I'm looking at a t reg hopefully in the next couple of days and I seem to recall that there may (or may not) be some signicance to a t reg motor? if there is any significance could you please tell me what I need to be looking for ie trim, colour, engine, vin number clues etc ( I already know colour and trim and engine size, but don't want to get excited just yet until I have some answers from the experts) or could you link me to the right place to look for such information. Can I thank you taking the time to read and possible answers you may give in advance. cheers Darren

T makes it quite an early car, made at the Cowley plant and an escapee of the dreaded project drive, which was Rovers ill fated attempt to try and cut costs.
Also predates so called "launch" cars I believe.

Realistically whether it is pre launch , launch or just an early one makes no real difference to joe public. S Reg tends to be pre launch T reg may be a launch car if it is the right colour/spec.
KV6 2.5 auto Wedgwood Neptune leather interior Hiline sat nav Sunroof electric seats with drivers memory Headlight wash No : Reversing sensor Rain sensor auto dipping mirror As with any car of this age you need to be aware of rust. particularly rear sills and rear upper arms. I would rather pay a little more for a car in good condition as opposed to a rot box in a rare colour or spec....

Thanks for the replies,
I think what I remember was about the dealship launch cars but this one doesn't match. it is a Wedgwood blue, 2.5v6 auto conni, with the green and beige leather interior, it was registered 5th Aug 99. haven't seen it in the flesh as of yet, the pictures I have seen it looks like a very clean example. and just noticed it's got a sunroof lol again thanks is for the replies

That's a shame, hate it when that happens. Good luck with your search, keep your eyes peeled - there are still good cars out there!
