Default Which glue to use on handbrake gaiter ?

Am going to be replacing the handbrake gaiter on the Tourer soon with a new leather one. What's the best glue to use to stick the leather to the plastic base bit ?
I was just going to use Evo stik impact adhesive, that be ok ?

If it has to be glued on, then an impact adhestive will be fine. Ensure to follow the makers instructions, which can vary.

Ok guys, think i'll give the Evo stik a go,says it glues cork, leather, plastic etc so should be ok. Looks a bit of a fiddly job but needs doing as factory fitted gaiter has big holes in it !

I have to do the same thing. I've had the new ones for months but it looks such a fiddly job I keep putting it off.
Maybe tomorrow

Just been to Screwfix to get some Andy, old tin had dried up. Will attack the gaiter in the morning. Then I can fit that handbrake handle grip I got from you.
Removing the old walnut effect handle needed feats of strength ! Man it was well stuck on there, lol. Got it off eventually though after twisting and pulling it a bit at a time

Some handbrake levers and gearknobs can be a right royal pain to remove!
