Default help needed front bumper

morning fellow members my air bag warning light keeps coming on , so what have i done i have disconnected the battery for half hour then cleaned all the connections under both the seats . the car is an 02 plate 75 cdt club se i took it down to a friend who owns a garage and his machine has come up with rhs front impact sensor . can i ask if theres any sensors in front bumper or under the front end of the car . ive been told that there is a impact sensor under the carpet near the b pillar but is that for a side impact as my rover has no side airbags , just the drivers steering wheel and of course the passengers side .any suggestions would be gratefull rgds mark

Hi Mark, Unless they did things differently in 02 the only sensor in the front bumper is the temperature sensor.
There might be one somewhere else in the front of the car but an expert will tell you more.

That's the impact sensor (accelerometer), think there are two different versions (orange or the later one is green - or 'tother way about) depending on year (with different connectors tabs).
