Steve, the Leprechaun pub is still in existence, but not in Chester itself, itís more Deeside, slightly out of Chester, about 8 miles from the town. We were at the retail, park in n Sealand road yesterday, this road runs for quite a distance,I just googled the pub, and it still exists, looked at maps and as said itís about 8 miles from town. In the 3 years my daughter has been there, she lived at Eversham Place, Bouverie Street and Ermine Road. Did you attend the uni or were you working in the area? She was based at Kingsway Campus, slightly northeast of the town, whereas the Parkgate Campus is just outside the town centre.

Thumbs up

Yes Richard, I lived and worked in the area at Sealand which is not far from the Leprechaun. Welsh Road I think might be the Lep's official location but the Sealand Road that I was referring to is what was the ground of Chester's football club. The Taylor Report I think had an adverse effect on the ground's viability and it is no more but the club lives on at a new ground.

Cool

Morning all at 05.00

A wee road trip to Sussex this morning with the Bear. A tankful should last me the 165 miles.

Grey with the promise of rain.

I've never seen as many slugs/snails in my life in the last three weeks I'M collecting them by the spade full and throwing them on the back field, there were even two climbing up my bottle of milk on the front step this morning

Good morning one and all - it's lovely sunshine and warm in Norfolk at the moment - but the weather will no doubt deteriorate as soon as Jeff gets here
It's our last day in Norfolk today - we're moving on to another caravan site tomorrow - just outside Boston in Lincolnshire for another couple of weeks.
As the news outlets have reported, there has been some terrible flooding in the county over the past few days, especially around Wainfleet near Skegness. We're about 11 miles South West of the flooded area - so fingers crossed that the site isn't a mud bath. The pitch I booked has hardstanding for the 'van, but the awning would be pitched on grass - so if it IS muddy, I won't be erecting it - they are not easy to clean if you get them mucky

Cool

Gorgeous weather here in Littlehampton. Blue sky and a strange yellow thing in the sky, and it ainít Banana.

Took 4 hours to travel the 195 miles. 69.9mph where applicable on the journey. Just over Ďalf a tank.
