Default Key fob

Yesterday I changed the remote key fob outer casing
The car locks and unlocks but all I changed was the small curcit board and the key blank I didn’t realise there was a chip in there as well
Not sure if I’ll be able to find the remains of the old fob as I lobbed it into a big pile of rubbish ready to throw into a skip at the weekend
Who do I call to supply and program a new chip

I can sort that, as can anyone on here who offers a key service.

The EWS immobiliser needs to be removed from the car to programme a transponder.

The guys on here will do a good job for you but it's at a justifiable charge so do have a good look for the chip first. If you 'lobbed it' still inserted into the old case then you've got a chance (unless it's been absolutely crushed under a lump of concrete or similar, it shouldn't be damaged). If you do find it, just a simple light prise from it's old home and a gentle press with a thumb into your shiny new housing and 'bob's should be your thingy'

If you can find the old back with the transponder (circled in red on the photo) still in situ then just swop the backs over. Beauty of that is there's no need to swop out the transponder & risk damaging it and it keeps the Valeo back (assuming the old fob's an original fob). Did it with mine and works a treat.

I presumed the chip was in the bigger half of the fob case, under the circuit board which was the bit I butchered and lobbed but thanks to Split I noticed the chip is in the smaller part, which I put on the side
So I just fitted the old half with the chip onto the new bit and bingo the car starts

Thanks chaps for the help 👍👍👍
