Default Front subframe

Has anyone transported a front subframe in a saloon?
Have been kindly offered one by a fellow club member.
Will it fit in the boot? I have the folding rear seats.
Thanks. Lee.

I dont think it will fit in the boot opening as the frame is quite wide.

I have, I think I had to have the rear seats down, and it just about fits in, but its very awkward. The rear end of the subframe has to go in first, then the wider front end just about drops down in. Think I had 5 11 spokes and a front bumper in at the same time. And yes, I had a saloon.

I stand corrected.

You'd be amazed just how much you can fit in the saloon with the seats down, if you're determined. Another time saw a rear subframe complete with upper and lower arms etc, 4 wheels with tyres, plus exhaust backbox, rear bumper and some headlights.

The ZT's replacement is far less able when it comes to carrying things. Had to chop up a front subframe in to several pieces before I could take it to the tip.
